DAVID W. MAYER
David W. Mayer is a member of the Oil Painters of America and an avid "plein air" painter with an emphasis on portraying the beauty of Colorado high country mountains, streams and lakes. He also paints California seascapes and selected still lifes. While he was an award winning watercolorist for many years, recently he has concentrated exclusively on oil painting.
His 2002 awards include receipt of the Clarence Durham memorial award from the Colorado Artists Guild and the landscape painting award from the Boulder Art Association's 11 annual National Juried Show.
Enjoy the bold brush strokes and the play of light that invades each landscape.
