Patty Alander
Precious Metal Clay
April 15 and 22, 2008, 5:30 through 8:30 p.m.
Local artist Patty Alander will teach the fun art of creating silver jewelry with precious metal clay. This unique material is made of powdered fine silver and an organic binder. You create pieces as you would if you were using clay. Once the pieces are dried and fired, you're left with a piece of .999 fine silver jewelry. This class is sponsored by the Fraser Metropolitan Recreation District and is being held at the Grand Lake Art Gallery. Cost is $95, and participants will be able to make between 3 and 5 pieces of jewelry. Call the Fraser Rec. District at 970-726-8968 to register.

Watercolor
Annie will present a free watercolor class for beginners as a part of the Fall Fest Weekend in Grand Lake. Join her on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The class will be held in the Picnic Gazebo next to the Kauffman House museum, overlooking Grand Lake. This is a drop-in class; no fee nor registration is required. Just show up and enjoy!

Bill will teach the High Country Color painting workshop in Grand Lake, Colorado, September 23 - 25, 2008. This workshop is designed to help beginning and intermediate oil painters develop their skills in painting en plein air (outdoors). We will focus on capturing the beautiful yellows and golds of the aspens during this special time of year in the Colorado mountains. Cost is $350.
